Teo Martín eSports retire from Bathurst 1000 and get P15 in NES opener
Teo Martín eSports had a complicated weekend in Bathurst 1000 and Neo Endurance Series opener in Sebring.
The feeling was perfect after 1-2-3 in V8MGT Supercars Division event and they maintained the good pace with a fourth place for Álvaro Ramiro, David Perez and Víctor Lobato to face more than 160 laps to Mount Panorama circuit.
The start was good because Álvaro climbed to P3 quickly but after a good overtaking for P2 up the mountain he lost his reference in braking and crashed into the wall with big damage in the car that forced him to retire.
On the other hand, Julián Rodríguez and Gianmarco Córdoba faced first 2017 Neo Endurance Series first event in Sebring, a track that both drivers like but the feeling wasn’t good from the beginning and even with setup changes the pace wasn’t there so they had to start the race from P11.
From that moment, the aim was to be regular during all race and take advantage from rivals’ crashes and mistakes but it was a smooth race for all of them so Julián and Gianmarco finished the event in P15 after an early crash that hampered their race and six hours driving.
Next event for Teo Martín eSports is scheduled for Wednesday October 18th and that will be the third round for the V8MGT championship in its V8 division at Circut of the Americas again with Víctor Lobato as representant on track.
