Third win for Teo Martín eSports in V8MGT championship

The third Supercars division event in 2017 V8MGT Championship at Circuit of the Americas was again a great one for Teo Martín eSports team with third consecutive win.

The modern American track with a shorter and more technical version took the drivers to the limit and the Spanish team showed a great feeling with the track from the qualifying session. The result was the seconde Pole for Julián Rodríguez but also the fourth place for Álvaro Ramiro and the eleventh for David Pérez.

Julián Rodríguez did a bad start and went down to P9 after first corner while Álvaro Ramiro climbed to P2 with David Pérez P10.

Then Álvaro was fighting for P1 when a contact with leader Ricardo Silva gave him the first place and then started to increase the gap with his rivals while Julián played with the strategy and after climb to P7 did an undercut and that works because after all pitstops, Álvaro remained as leader with David P7 and now Julián as P4 without needing a battle to achieve that position.

David tried everything to move along but it was impossible so he crossed the finish line in P7. Something similar happened to Julián. The championship leader didn’t take unnecesary risk fighting for P3 so he put pressure into his rival but he was finally P4 while Álvaro had a smooth second part of the race to take his first win in this V8MGT championship.

Now Julián and Álvaro are championship’s co-leaders with 798 points and David is third just behind them with 732 points.

Next event for Teo Martín eSports is scheduled for Wednesday October 18th and that will be the third round for the V8MGT championship in its V8 division at Circut of the Americas again with Víctor Lobato as representant on track.
